Independent service quality survey results
Personal current accounts
Published February 2026
As part of a regulatory requirement, an independent survey was conducted with approximately 1,000 customers of each of the 17 largest personal current account providers. They were asked whether they would recommend their provider to friends and family. This results table shows the overall satisfaction results for the survey.
Overall service quality
The survey asked the question: “Likely they would like to recommend their personal current account provider for Friends and Family.”
Authorised push payment (APP) scams rankings in 2024
Authorised push payment (APP) scams involve a customer being tricked into sending money to a fraudulent account. Performance data on Bank of Scotland's performance prior to the introduction of the mandatory reimbursement in October 2024 can be found in the PSR's latest APP Scams Performance Report.
Bank of Scotland is part of the same group which includes Lloyds and Halifax. The data shown in the report is a combination of these three brands.
